Tim Lewis:         I was supposed to be interviewing Jen Cole today but, for some reason or other, she had a schedule clash at the last minute. I was like, “Well what on earth am I going to do in terms of getting the show done?” It’s supposed to be done for Boxing Day, and it’s the Saturday beforehand. I’m away for most of the time. Now, one of the things I was going to do in that show, lighten the mood a little bit, was to play some audio quotes from Andrew and Pete’s show from Last Christmas which was quite amusing.

Tim Lewis:          I decided to go the full on comedy clip show route and create a mildly fake interview with Andrew and Pete for this year’s Christmas special. It’s not going to be very long, and it’s going to be of no value in terms of self-publishing knowledge whatsoever. Hopefully, it will be amusing to some of you.

Tim Lewis:          Now, over to my second interview, Andrew and Pete. Welcome again to the show, guys. I wonder, Pete, if you could tell me what your biggest challenge in your business is today?

Pete:                     Who would buy corrugated iron?

Tim Lewis:          Corrugated iron’s a bit of an unusual niche, Pete. Surely you must have some other ideas just in case the old corrugated iron thing doesn’t work.

Pete:                     Alternatively, it should be a blog all about farts.

Tim Lewis:          Andrew, you must be a bit concerned about Pete’s obsession with corrugated iron. What have you been doing in the business? I know you guys used to be marketers. Can you tell me what you’re doing at the moment in the business?

Andrew:              I would do a competition on the most beautiful corrugated iron.

Tim Lewis:          That’s very interesting. You’re getting into the corrugated iron thing as well. Can you tell me, have you got anything else that you’re thinking of doing that maybe might be bringing in more money?

Pete:                     The obvious choice here would be to create kind of Brussel sprout recipe videos.

Tim Lewis:          Okay. Why do you like Brussel sprouts so much?

Andrew:              Don’t ruin the Christmas magic.

Tim Lewis:          Okay. Is there anything else that you’re thinking of maybe branching into if the Brussel sprouts and corrugated iron thing doesn’t work that well?

Pete:                     Party poppers.

Tim Lewis:          Oh, so party poppers is the other thing that you’re looking at. Okay, well, this has obviously been a big change in direction since last year. What about your website? What you going to be doing on your website?

Andrew:              Brussel sprouts website, brusselsprouts.com. Needs to just teach people how to be cool, and that’s all it does.

Tim Lewis:          Okay, thanks for that. I think we’re just about done in this interview. It’s been a bit strange. Is there anything else you want to say?

Andrew:              Hey, look how awesome Andrew and Pete are.

Tim Lewis:          Okay, well I think you’ve done that very well. Is there anything you specifically want to say, Pete, about corrugated iron?

Pete:                     Make it a little bit more extreme and high arousal…

Tim Lewis:          Thanks very much for the interview guys. It’s been probably the most strange one on this show, but certainly been fun for the audience anyway. Everybody have a merry Christmas and happy Boxing Day and season’s greeting and new year.
